Germans are all boring

They have a sense of fun deficit.  They take themselves way too seriously.  They lack spontaneity.  They never get the joke, because they don’t have a sense of humour…

So here is a short clip of some very boring Germans taking themselves extremely seriously at this time of year.

I have such fond memories of the Karneval in Mainz, February 1978…. Aaaah!

  2. Hell, I’m glad I have a good portion of Dutch in me 😉

  3. Very funny clip! However, I was wondering, since I am new to this expat in Germany thing, what “Helau” means?

  4. Hi Yelli,

Helau is the traditional carnival greeting around here. It’s only used at carnival – at all other times they would say “Guten Tag” or something similar.

It´s so depressing to live in germany. Their contagious “boring-got no humor sence” is making us sick. Bye bye germans….

So once a year they make an attempt to have fun and dress up in costumes, play really annoying music , try to come out of their shell by drinking massive amounts of alcohol which makes them even more unfunny. YAWN!! They are about as fun as a burning orphanage.
