no, Hallo is the correct pronounciation and spelling
Are you SURE….
Lol. Hallo is just the german word for “hello”. On Karneval you say in several cities ( like Düsseldorf ) Helau and in other ( eg Cologne ) you say Alaaf.
There are also other “karneval shouts” eg Ahoi or Hurra
Trust me – I’m german.
